     Welcome to the War Eagle Jr. High Football Program.  Our goal is to develop well-rounded student athletes who learn not only the fundamentals of football, but also the importance of education and teamwork, while having a good time along the way.   
 
     Safety is our top concern. Many of the drills and team rules are there to ensure the student athlete is physically and mentally fit for football.  We teach USA heads-up football techniques and Hawk Tackling form to increase safe play.
            
     We practice the ideals of sportsmanship, hard work and physical fitness. Our program stresses learning lessons of value far beyond the playing days, such as self-discipline, teamwork, concentration, friendship, and leadership. We, as coaches, will do our very best to ensure that each player is used to their utmost potential and their talents are used for the team's best advantage. The team comes before individuals. 
 
West Carroll Coaches will:
  1. Get the players in shape
  2. Understand each player's potential
  3. Work on individual skills for each position
  4. Work on team execution of plays
  5. Motivate, communicate, and lead
  6. Perform the “behind the scenes work” that will give the players the maximum​ chance of success
  7. ​Teach the players the skills they need to play football safely
  8. Recognize that parents are as important to the success of the team as the players.

The West Carroll Junior High Football Program is designed to encourage High School participation through a thorough teaching of the fundamentals of the game.  The football program is designed to be rigorous; providing a structured learning environment that will test athletes both physically and mentally. 

Students participating in the football program should be prepared to work throughout the school year to improve their skills and ability.  At the conclusion of the fall football season, athletes will participate in a rigorous off-season program lasting throughout the winter and spring. We encourage all of our athletes to participate in as many sports as they are interested in.

All athletes must have a physical on file with the Coaching Staff in order to participate in any tryouts, practices or games.
